In Memory of Brian Jacques

When I was a kid there was a book series that I was obsessed with, from about the age of 10 I was obsessed with Redwall.
Redwall, for those of you who don't know, is a series of books based in a fantasy world filled with human-like animals who live in a sandstone abbey called Redwall. The 22 books follow the many tales of countless brave warriors who swear to protect their haven Redwall from invading vermin hordes and warlords. Martin the Warrior, the Abbeys first founder and Guardian, is seen as an all knowing spirit and invisible force who guides the animals of the abby in times of scourge. There are only three or so books which actually depict the life of Martin and the adventures he had, Martin the Warrior, Mossflower and The Legend of Luke in which Martin goes in search of the legacy of his father Luke.
The land in which they live is never named but certain landmarks always stay the same, like Salamandastron the mountain palace of the Long patrol hairs and their Badger Lord, Redwall obviously and Mossflower, the country and woodland surrounding the abby. Maps are always included in the books so that you can follow the heros journey, this is the part I loved the most about the books as you could actually imagine where they were.
The plots to the books however were normally split into 3 or 4 story lines, one following the Hero or Heroine of the tale, one following the creatures of the Abby, one following the main antagonist, and then a fourth would normally be added depending on who came and went.
The creatures of the abby are all characterised by their different british accents, here are a few examples.

Moles are specifically from Devon and speak like farmers, Hares are very posh and upper class, Otters are from the north (anything yorkshire/derbyshire sounding) etc.

This was a brilliant series crafted with love and attention, so much attention to detail was put on food, being peace loving animals the only meat they ate was fish, the rest of their diets consisting of pies, soups, vegetables, cheeses, nuts, fruit puddings etc. Villains were always depicted eating flesh of other animals, normally birds but on the odd occasion there were sections about eating other woodland creatures like squirrels and mice.

Whenever a new book came out that I liked the look of I would buy it or take it out of the library and read it for hours and hours, normally a book might take me two weeks or so to read if I read 3 or 4 chapters a night after school work. I lived in the world of Redwall, the imagination of Brian Jacques was brilliant and it connected with me so much.

I could go on for hours about this series, but I just wanted to write this in honour of the memory of Brian Jaques, who lead a very accomplished and fulfilled life bringing joy to many with his books. Over 22 million books sold worldwide, and they were translated into almost 30 languages.
God Bless you Brian Jacques, thank you for sculpting my love for reading, food and for having such a huge influence on my childhood. You will be dearly missed.

The Moon

I'm watching a program on the BBC about the moon, and it's irritating me it's saying some ridiculous things.
The presenter at one point says the Moon is moving away from us, fair point, but then she says this could be dangerous.
How? She says if the moon was 10% further away than it is now, then the days would be longer, possibly 40 hour days. She then states that the days would be too long for humans to endure. Now this is a silly statement, the moon is moving away from the earth 3cm per year. Very very slow. Yes if the moon SUDDENLY became 10% further away then yes it would create chaos... however if it's happening gradually (which it is) then we'll have the time to adapt to the longer days over time, and so it won't create any chaos. I know it's scripted but it's just annoying me. The BBC don't normally annoy me but sometimes they talk some crap.

The Importance of Books

Hello there,
Yes it's been a while. I still don't really know the purpose of this blog anymore.
I heard today that Amazon.coms E-reader the "Kindle" outsold paper backs this Holiday season.
As a lover of books and literature, I think this is a crying shame.
I hope books don't go the same way as the music industry, I think that it is faster to distribute music and books this way however I feel it is less personal, and I love books.
When I read I love holding things, I love the smell of paper, the feel of the cover, the pictures on the cover.
I like to be able to press my finger under the line I'm on against the front of the page, I love feeling the weight too.
Not many of you will know that I studied Classical Civilisation whilst at school, I was the only person to continue it till sixth form and before that there was only about 5 of us in the class. Think back to those times when everything was kept as scrolls of papyrus, or written on tablets of wax or stone. I think it's fascinating how books have evolved and changed over the years.
Obviously the invention of paper was probably one of the most significant inventions in the History of the Earth. Later on Romans used Wax tablets as the first kind of "Echisketch" or chalk board, where you would write in the soft wax and then heat and smooth it over when you wanted to start over. Later people needed a better way to keep literature because, when writing on papyrus, the length of the paper naturally became very long and had to be rolled into a scroll. (Hence the word Scroll "Script" and "Roll")
You know all those images of people in historical films where the parchment rolls through the street as the speaker opens it? I would hazard a guess that that was pretty accurate.
Books, as we know them, were first invented in Ancient Rome. I mentioned the wax tablets earlier, they were made up of two wooden slabs that were tied together through two holes; like a conventional binder today. The wax was always on the inside to protect it from damage if the information was valuable, or if the writer wanted to save it for later. Sooner or later people started using them to store papyrus to carry it around and thus the BOOK WAS BORN!
Hope you've enjoyed this lesson in The Ancient History of the Book. Can you see now why it is such a shame that everything is going digital? If everyone on Earth died tomorrow then a lot of our knowledge would be lost as it is all stored digitally. If an alien race came to learn about us afterwards what would they find? The only reason we know SO MUCH about The Romans and other Ancient civilisations is that they used physical means to store information.

English people who watch the BBC will be aware of the sitcom "Miranda" staring Miranda Hart who was made semi-famous from Lee Macs Sitcom "Not Going Out."
Miranda is a comedian and actress who has appeared in several BBC comedies, and this year was offered the chance to write the second series of her sitcom, which I was surprised at. The British Comedy Awards are on the horizon and apparently she is up for 4 comedy gongs... has the world gone mad? I mean I was skeptical when she was given the chance to have a second series of her show, but has the comedy this year been so dire that she is up for awards?
Anyone who has watched "Miranda" knows that it is nothing but unintelligent, childish, slapstick rubbish. Do people really like it? Has there not been any other decent comedies, I can think of two from Channel four which outshine her self written crud. The Inbetweeners and Peep show! Both of which had new seasons this year. Their comedy is full of intellect, wit and real life situations. Why aren't they up for awards? Surely they Deserve it?! Miranda Hart, I think you are a good comedian I just feel you should stick to performing stand up than doing sitcoms, it feels like something I used to watch on CBBC when I was younger. The comedy is dick and dom esque and it annoys me so much.

Blogging in my Sleep

It's been a while since I have used this blog, and some people may say for better or for worse.
I'm not really sure why I haven't done much with it, I think I just forgot about it for a while, and also didn't really know what to write about now that my year of being in London is over. For those who don't know; when I first started it over a year ago I used it to record my year in London at University. However now I feel it is lacking in purpose. I do post my youtube videos here every once and a while but apart from that I don't do much with it.
So I have decided to revive it, and write a blog based on things in the news, articles I find on the net or just anything which I deem to be interesting or significant at the time.
As you can see I have changed the layout and a few things are different here and there, but most stays the same.
Last night I barely slept, I got off the plane from Toronto at 4:43 yesterday morning at Gatwick and I slept maybe three hours tops yesterday. Last Night I had about four hours sleep, and then I awoke at 4:05am and haven't been back to sleep since.
Is this jet lag? or is my body clock off? Or is there a psychological reason for this? I noticed that when I was sleeping it felt like I was merely dozing. It didn't feel deep as I was still aware of my surroundings somewhat...

Anyway in the meantime I thank you for following this blog, and I hope you enjoy it and continue to read it, even though it has remained dormant for a time. Please comment bellow to let me know who still reads this. Thanks and Good Morning.

Hey So for the past few days I have been in Bournemouth, now some of you who have been following me know what I have been doing, others not so much so let me explain.
I was asked to perform at Life's a Beach, a youtube charity event for the RNLI who use volunteers to man lifeboats for people lost at sea.
We were raising money to help them buy another new life boat, as you can see this is a very worthy cause, especially in Bournemouth.
If we were to raise £6000 for the RNLI then we, as a youtube community, would be allowed to name the boat. How we intended to do this is to send a hash tag round twitter, collecting name suggestions, the best ones would be decided on by which were most popular or one that was unanimously liked.

Life update

A lot has happened in the last few weeks, and I just wanted to let you all know what be going down!.
So After entering a competition on Youtube I won a CD, don't know what CD but I am going to review it in a blog or a vlog when it arrives at my house.
I have also been asked to play a charity gig in Bournemouth at Bournemouth Pier with some fellow Nerdfighters, I am also on the Charity EP so if anyone wants to go it is free to go and you can organise hostel booking through the event on facebook which is called "Life is a Beach" Should be amazing, hope to see you all down there! Lets raise some Monies for charity!
In other things writing is going well with the artists I am working with, and hopefully going to be getting paid for working on small business advertisements and things just to earn some money for the label.
Probably gonna get a bar job too.

True Friends

Over this last year, I have begun to realise who my REAL friends are, and honestly they are the people who have stuck by me; who have held me when I cried, have been out on the lash with me having such a laugh, people who I have known since I was little.
All of you know who you are and I want to say thank you for everything so far, I will always be there for you, because that is the type of person I am.
Right now one of my best friends NEEDS OUR HELP.
His name is Dan Rowling and I am going to list the five reasons as to why he is one of my best friends.
1. He has ALWAYS supported my music, even if he listens to bands such as Iron Maiden, he has always seen quality within what I do and always held me in high regard musically, even requesting me to write a song inspired by a title he gave me.
2. He was the person who pretty much got me into blogging and twitter and all my internet things, and I think if he hadn't have been around this blog CERTAINLY would not have been here to entertain my housemates and you folks back home.
3.He loves all the games and music I love, we used to be round each others houses loads playing Smash Bros and Jak and Daxter franchise brought us together.
4. He has been there for me through everything that happened to me at school, regarding ex girlfriends, troubles etc. He has never let me down, and is great, he will always be honest with me.
5.if you haven't got enough reasons already, he is funny! And I MEAN that, he can make me LOL my pants all the time, he is by far the coolest cat ever, even better than Top Cat and Rhubarb. Honestly DAN IS ACE.
So why does he need your help? Well Dan is thinking of STOPPING blogging, as he feels his blog isn't read anymore. Lets prove that theory WRONG and band together to bring back Dan's blog which is arguably all of the above, funny, Honest and witty!

Results- kind of an "itchy" subject

For a lot of people today will be very important, the day when they find out their all important results which then in some way or another will dictate the rest of their life. I was thinking about this because last year when I had my A level results everyone else seemed to be stressing because they wanted to go to York or Exeter or Cambridge, but for me I was already guaranteed a place at the ICMP in London from the end of April, so for me results weren't that big a deal. it just felt like a big report card.
Now my results for my A levels were all B grades. And at the time I was proper heart broken that I didn't get any As.
But after a year away from the hustle and bustle of Trent life, and little bit of retrospect I realise Shit 4 Bs that's pretty darn GOOD!
Theres lots of people saying that they got really good marks in one subject but then they got Ds and Es in another.
But to actually have Four different subjects with the exact same results I believe shows that I spread my efforts equally between my subjects and attained a great grade for each. I am really proud of my Four Bs and I can't wait to find out my results for ICMP, I will let you know when I do. I just want to wish all of you good luck on your exam results today, and hey if you get fours Bs let me know :D

Last night I was at a party at my friend Roans house, We stayed up till about 4 or 5 in the morning and then I realised I still had my contact lenses in and so I took them out and then was like "Oh shit... Now I can't see."
As some of you know, a few months ago I sat on my old glasses and broke them, they had been bent in the middle for a while and the lens had popped out a few times, but now they were well and truly flopped!
Well today I got back from the party and got a call this afternoon to say that my new glasses were ready to be collected.

The Final Frontier-First Look

For a few months now I have been waiting for the new Iron Maiden Album to be released and now it is finally here.
Here is my first look at the album giving you an insight to what kind of vibe you can expect from The Final Frontier.

Lets start off with the single that Iron Maiden released for free on their website a few months ago now.
El Dorado I believe is a great track, not the best on the album but it is still a great track, it contains the fast paced cantering that we have all grown to love from Maiden, it has a great chorus and has a really nice live vibe to it.
The whole album really has that vibe, it feels like Maiden have just stood in a sessions room and played the album from beginning to end and then finished recording. I think that is really the essence of maiden, their live shows really are what they are all about. The set design, the guitar solos and Bruces energetic stage performance.
This album I feel is different to other maiden albums, it has a lot of different influences. Tracks like The Alchemist feels very punk rock orientated, especially in the verses it's sounds rather sex pistols. Where as other tracks like Star blind have a very different feel, more prog rocky.
A lot of the album is more laid back and there are a few ballad type songs which I feel work really well, it allows Bruce to use a different part of his voice, songs like Mother of Mercy and The Talisman really show a different side to Maiden almost a kind of maturing.
There are some Classic Sounding Maiden tracks on the album, Coming Home really feels like it's harking back to their older albums, while still focusing the song on their new sound.
My favourite song at the moment has to be the opener "Satellite 15...The Final Frontier" It really feels like a show starter, when you listen to it you can almost hear the crowd screaming, it has a fairly long intro but it builds up to a great song.

Over all it is definitely different to their older material but it also has a more mature charm to it, lyrically it is brilliant as always, and it has some great melodies to back them up.

3D'ya think it will last?

Yesterday I went into town with my friend Lacey to see Toy Story 3 in 3D. I was underwhelmed to say the least.
I have seen the film already in a normal screening, I love the film it's great, but the 3D was terrible.
Appart from the pre feature cartoon featurette where the 3d effects where intricate and detailed (it had obviously been MADE for 3D) I was rather disappointed with disney Pixars offering. All the way through the film I was waiting for some real awesome 3D moment that really showed off how much the technology has improved since the 90s. It didn't come. I actually forgot that it was in 3D half way through the film. It had obviously just been tacked on at the end of the production period.
I never saw Avatar in 3D but that was filmed specifically for the stereoscopic effect and so from what I know the 3D was amazing according to other sources. At the moment a lot of film companies are just tacking 3D to the end of the production. Film companies, 3D does NOT MAKE A FILM!
In terms of 3D in other media, I think Sky 3D is going to be interesting, especially for watching sport, I watched some sport in 3D and it really enhanced it, it was brilliant you could see the curvature of the ball and the depth of the players, it added an extra dimension. How they would implement that at a live game is uncertain however if they could pull it off, it would be brilliant.
Another area where 3D could be very useful is the gaming industry as seen already by the 3DS and PS3 3D glasses. I can't wait to get a hands on with these just to see how it effects the games. It would more fully immerse you in the experience.
However I am not sure whether 3D is gonna become the new HD, I recon it'll be gone in five years.

An apple a day Keeps the Doctor away... Unless you're Newton

Ok I know, I have been neglectful of my blog, I apologise to my 8 subscribers haha :D But realistically it has been a hectic these past couple of weeks. I was back home for a while then away at Soul Survivor for a week and now I am back, ready to crack on with things. I am looking for a job to fund my record label with, and I can finally announce a big event that I am helping with for next year. I will do a blog on that soon after I have had the meeting with Sam about it. However on other accounts I have more co-writes ahead of me as well as hopefully musicians joining me to form a band.
I am slowly getting round to seeing people, today I saw my friend Sophie, she is brilliant, I love her to pieces and we had a massive laugh round town. I hope she reads this cos she's pretty sick!
I love having a Mum who works in a business because they see application forms for employees on such a regular basis they know what I need to put and all the tricks of writing CVs. My parents are amazing, I love em :D.
I am going to try and make this blog now more focused and not just a ramshackle rambling of my thoughts.
Each one will have a topic, whether it be a film review or game or music review.

The Final Frontier

What some of you might not know is that since I was twelve I have been quite a big Iron Maiden Fan. I first went to see them when I was 12 and they were my first proper concert, my interest in guitar based music dramatically increased after that.
I saw them at Nottingham Arena just after they had released Dance of Death.
One of the characteristic things I remember is Eddie the Giant Zombie, literally popping out of the stage as a massive inflatable puppet like atrocity! It was epic! One of the things I was so impressed with was Bruce's agility on stage, he was flipping, running jumping and screaming all the time, on a seemingly endless shot of adrenaline. They had spring boards and trampolines behind amps and monitors which bruce made great use of. It blew me away.
Now I am happy to say that I am excited for their new instalment "The Final Frontier."
I have only heard one song from it as of now which is El Dorado, and from what I have heard I like it very much.
It's fairly different to their earlier stuff, it still contains the classic cantering guitars, but lacks much melody in the guitars.

Anyway, I have had the busiest few days, I need to rest! I really do, I find it so hard not doing anything!
It's kind of annoying. Some of my friends are fine with sitting down and playing playstation for hours and hours but I can sit at my Wii for... sometimes half an hour to an hour (or if its something like Zelda or mario maybe two) before going " right I've had enough of this" I love games still but recently theres nothing (apart from Galaxy 2) thats glued me to the screen for hours and hours.

I need to rest, so while I am at soul survivor I am going to be doing some relaxing and maybe meditating, I want to learn how to.
Sophie Daniels once said she wrote a whole song in her head (lyrics and all) while meditating, that sounds amazing! So I wanna try it!
My life literally had turned into "Write another song write another song..etc", so I need to just enjoy life at the moment. I really do.

Old friends, Broken Toes and ANOTHER new start.

So for those of you who have followed my Blog from the start will know that indeed it was titled my " London blog" implying that I would only be keeping it up whilst in London. However as things go, I'm not actually leaving London forever, I am merely vacating to my home town while I get things up and running, I will be up and down there a fair bit as I have Co-writes and meetings scheduled down there.
So a quick update on me, I've met up with Adam and Natt since I got back, we've played football which I actually (for saying I hate footy) quite enjoyed. It's awesome to see them and hang with them again, I realised actually how much of a loner I had become in London.
Haven't seen Roan yet but I will have on Saturday at my poker night and a few others like Kallum and Josh.
I can't wait to hang out with more people. Anyone going out tomorrow night or saturday after poker? I fancy getting smashed.
Anyway this morning I stubbed my toe on my bed and it raised the nail slightly and so I have put aloe vera on it and put a plaster on it as it started bleeding a very small amount. Currently it feels numb.
Now I have soul survivor in a few weeks which is going to be sweet, can't wait.
Got some Co-writes with a band called Kiss Corona which should be sweet, and then in August/september it'll be time to start up again and begin a whole new quest of music business! With my new label and hopefully by then new band members I am going to be performing and writing and whatever the hell else i decide and plan to do.

Well what a hectic week this is going to be. Next I have potentially four gigs at some great venues in London. Not only that, but I am also co-writing with some songwriters from LA working on new material for them.
Working with a girl called Megan on some of her material which we are writing for her. the song sounds great! It's a really good one I think.

Got exams today woo! Which I should be revising for now, I am going to do that now.

Yes I titled this blog Title DEAL WITH IT!
Man I'm in weird mood...
I haven't blogged in a week or so.
Just gonna write a quick update of my life really... erm (why do I feel the need to write down my verbal pauses! it's all in my BRAIN!)
So I finally met my mentor Paul Simm (google him) and had an great meeting with him about what I should be doing.
It made me realise I have a lot of stuff already in place for the future and to be honest I am rather excited.
The one thing he did tell me was before I decide to make an EP or an Album I need to write 20 more songs and really push myself.
I am really excited for that. I really am, I can't wait.
For all of you people back home who desperately want to see me (so...Mum, Dad Anna and most of all my Dog Fudge) I shan't be back till august most probably.
I have the house till the end of July and then well... I will probably have to move out and either stay with a friend or go home.
But I have realised a lot of things over the past 9 months, and I am very happy.
Watched Doctor Whos finale! AMAZING! Not gonna write about it just in case my parents read this before they've seen it.
Gonna have to wait till Christmas right for the next episode? Is that correct?

Nintendo PWNS @ E3

Ok so just been blown away by Nintendos Conference. So many games that I want now! hahaha
3DS Is amazing, from what people said on the floor it's better 3D than 3D specs, and the games that are coming out for it, look sweet too! Kid Icarus! With Wii standard graphics on the 3DS! AMAZING! New zelda looks wicked, When everyone was playing it at the front everyone said it was brilliant! Great opener for nintendo even if there was some wireless interference.
New DK, New Metroid, New KIRBY FOR WII! I am pretty stoked for when 2011 comes around. What else... Oh yeah the 3DS can take 3D pictures with it's two cameras! It has a gyro in it for motion controls, another motion sensor, an analogue pad and a slider to turn the 3D effects on and off. Nintendo Don't just give fan service they have raised the bar AGAIN even higher. So many games from ALL different third parties being developed, metal gear solid, kingdom hearts, resident evil! So many from other platforms too! And also NEW GOLDENEYE! :) Mostly nostalgia but if it's a decent game too then well they're laughing! Such an amazing E3 for nintendo, maybe their best yet?

Been watching E3 this year, and I suppose we should have seen it coming but Sony and Microsoft have finally cashed in on the Wiis success.
Now In terms of Playstation Move It is a Wii rip off so shameless that you could just have painted the Wii black.
What I did hate about what people said about Sonys product however is, and I quote " That FPS are so good played with something to aim at the screen with" YEAH FUCKING NO BRAINER! not like the wii did that four years ago or anything....(200 ton sarcasm) That pissed me off, the way they used to slag the wii off and now it's like " Oh it's such a good idea, I'm so glad WE thought of this..."
Anyway Microsoft have done something different with Kinect and the camera. They have pretty much launched Kinect (Natal) as an add on to expand their market, they haven't said too much about "hardcore" games using it, but I'm sure there will come a time. I actually think it is a good piece of technology and could open up market areas, however it is four years down the line...
Going to watch Nintendos press conference in the next hour and then blog about that tomorrow.
All I can take away from this is really Good effort Microsoft and Sony but It might be too late... Perhaps... Who knows..

Update on Life...

Apologies for no posts in a while I am going to start blogging again, very soon!
For this post I am going to talk about what's been happening in my life. Some of you may know that I recently scored an Internship with EMI records.
Now as You know EMI are whats known as a Major Record Label, I am really stoked to have this opportunity as they deal with artists such as Gorillaz, Coldplay, Mel C, The Dandy Warhols, Depeche Mode, Dirty Vegas, The Divine Comedy, Duran Duran, Empire, Faith Evans, Fat boy slim, Foo Fighters and George Harrison. To name a few.
Not only that, they also deal with a little band called...Iron Maiden.
Now this is where I come in, at the moment I am helping them promote the new Iron Maiden album "Final Frontier."
And I have just finished my first week of work with them, it's hard work, but if you put the effort in, it's more than worth it!
Really enjoying it, Just thought I'd give you an update of whats going down in my life right now.
Also doing some extra stuff for the BBC for a segment called "Underage and Pregnant" I'm just an extra, dressed as a school boy, but should be fun. I keep writing new songs each week, And have some great ones knocking about. Hope you are all well. I might be home soon. See you later.

Four weeks...

The one thing that still takes me by surprise and always knocks me off guard, is that while I've been down here over the past year, everything in Derby has changed.
Where as I am living my life away from them all, in some "far off land" I come back to find people have left school, got jobs, cripes I mean one of my friends has even had a BABY!
It's strange, that people I used to hang with have gone on to do other things...
The world is changing more than it ever has... People are moving around, life has suddenly expanded in potential for everyone.
Although in some cases not...
Once I lived in a little Derby bubble and now I live in another "type" of bubble in London, cut off from Derby, I find it weird to go back... I visit the places I used to go and it's all different.
The new bus station is finished, and looks like a space ship.
Shops are closing down and/or moving left right and centre.
My friends are all leaving for university, a lot of whom I might not see again, if it weren't for facebook.
We have a new bathroom. I mean what else is changing that I don't know about? Let me know

Rather Happy at the moment. :) Everything seems to be good.
Open mic was pretty sweet last night n that.
played like five songs, most of it new stuff. went down dead well.
Embarrassed Charlie again hahaha She said she was flattered that I had written a song about her.
I made a tit of myself, by guzzeling down a pint of cider in about 5 minutes hahaha, And then getting tipsey straight away.
Man I am so light weight.
I'm surprised I could still stand up at our party, I had had a whole bottle of Vodka and energy drink and a fair bit of jagar from a pint glass.
Man... :) I am dead happy :)

I'm back in Derby in roughly 4-5 weeks time.

Been on amazon looking at old game boys and stuff, and realised that I think I am gonna buy myself a second hand GBA and play through loads of ports of old games I missed/thought were hard when I was younger.
Things like Link to the Past and Super Mario World. theres old GBA games that I missed too, Pokemon Ruby (I did get half way through emerald but stopped cos I thought it was shit haha tbf.)
Metroid games, Yoshi's Island. I used to play Yoshis Island with Adam on the SNES, I didn't have a console at that point so I was intrigued every time I went round, and that is why to this day Yoshi is my favourite Mario character.
Me and Adz had a massive obsession with Mario and sonic, so much so that we used to buy these little Yoshi beanies and stuff. I had the red one. Adz had green and blue I think.
He also used to have Sonic and Tails plushies, they were epic, I had a sonic one too I think.
Tails' tails were like sewn to his back and I think Adam got his mum to cut them away so he could make them fly hahaha.
Ahhh the past. Where are ye now? Just been in the shower thinking about how things have changed over the years in so many ways. In terms of who I'm watching on youtube, what music I'm listening to etc. There was guy called Diifii on Youtube who did video reviews, he was mental but I loved his videos. But haven't seen one since like 2007.

Just writing out some parts for my song tomorrow. I'm quite happy with it, cos I feel like I can write down what I want, it's wicked. I have improved so much in that.
Been looking at all the different drum notations on this website, some really interesting instruments which you wouldn't normally have in a regular drum kit.
Shakers, Splash cymbals, Gongs, Timpani, cow bells the LOT!
Really tempted to write in a gong in the very last bar of the song just to confuse the drummer, so that he'd be like "--What the hell?!...Jay--He's put a f*cking GONG 'ere!!"

My hands feel cold.
What a weekend... Played at the South Bank Centre, Had Sarahs Party at ours, then had an audition today, which has been a trek...
But hey Everything seems to be looking up which is good.

For those of you who want to know the contents of my stomach last night, I had quarter of a pint of jagermiester, a pint of red bull and vodka and some beer.
Lets just say I was fucked.
Hahaha.
I also ate some cake.... I remember most of it.
I think.
That's all really.
Booze= mayhem! Someone smashed a plate. It was only a little one so thats ok. Cake was mushed apparently.
I stayed up till 5! I have no idea how! Never happened before on a party really.
I've stayed up till 5 before, on planes and stuff but yeah.
It was light when I went to bed. Then woke up at like 8, 2 n a half hours later to get ready for my audition.
Which was stupid cos it wasn't until two. but for some reason I felt like getting up.
So I am shattered.

Hey.
I haven't updated this much as I haven't had too much to blog about and also been busy with college and the likes.
I have a gig today at the south bank centre at Embankment in London, so if anyones around come down. I'm on at 2:15 which is roughly the middle of the sets. Starts at 11am and goes on till 7 pm. Should be sweet.
Anyway, just a few things to comment on. We all know this but I stress here that Boris Johnston is a Twat. Yeah he's funny cos he's so posh and a characature of himself yes yes hilarious.
But actually he's an idiot. He made a statement a few days ago basically saying that Whatever financial cuts the tories propose to help cut the deficit, that they should not cut the Olympic games funding. So what have they gone and done? Increased it.
Now Yeah the Olympic games is great and all that but think about it, if they WERE planning to cut it, and then in fact increased it? Where is that money coming from? Out of the NHS? Schools? Health?
It just really irritated me, because in my honest opinion I'm not too fussed about the games, it's just an event isn't it? I just feel like the bid for the olympics was a waste of time and money which we could be spending on the deficit or somewhere more needed. And now they say they're bidding for the world cup in 2018! That is the equivalent of being in loads of debt and still going... hmmm yeah we can still afford that ferrari and a new house, and a whole bunch of other shit we don't need.
The Government is basically doing what millions of people did when the banks went bust.
Really great...
Anyway enough of that rant.

What does everyone think about our new Prime Minister?
I am on a half way house with him. I think some of his policies and values are important however there are more of them that I do not really care for / like the look of.
I feel excited for change I suppose, but then again how much change can be done? I mean how much has Obama done? Really?! How much has changed due to him? They said they would pull out of iraq, but when I last checked our friends across the pond were actually sending more troops over!
In my honest opinion I think that people have to get over this kind of persona that politicians create for themselves so that they can seem to be strong leaders, Remember these politicians are just people like me and you, I'm sure if YOUR life was filmed and scrutinised as much as theirs are then you'd come out looking like a twat too. Because at the end of the day, media likes controversy and peoples failure.
I am going into this new Government with an open mind, I'd like to see what can be done, and see if Cameron can deliver and put his money where his strange snakeish Voldemort like mouth is.

Grudges, To keep or not to keep?

Now I'm not a person to hold grudges. Sure I might be annoyed with someone for a while you know, but more and more I am finding that I am being less judgemental and more forgiving of people.
For example just over a year ago, my old band The Raw disbanded and the other three decided to carry on without me as a band called Small Talk until November 09.
Now a lot of people when I told them this were like "Oh what bastards etc."
That makes me think... Hang on what?! Are you SERIOUS?! I mean if they hadn't "Kicked me out" (as it were) I would never be where I am today! You know? I would never have moved to London to do this Professional Songwriting Diploma, I would have never met all my teachers and mentors and all these valuable contacts. I would never have found out that I can do this on my own! I would still be cruising along, not really writing, just singing. So when people say "Oh do you hold a grudge against them now?" the answer is always " Hell no! Look what they did for me! It was a blessing in disguise."

Now I don't know what you guys think about Grudges but as I said I try not to hold them because at the end of the day they are kinda pointless, why hold a grudge against people who may have wronged you slightly in the past. At the end of the day, I try and be nice to people because thats how I was brought up. Treat people how you would like to be treated in return.
So when the other day I ended up at my old school confronting the two people I never thought I would see, I had to make a decision.
By the looks of things, it seems that at least one of them still holds a grudge against me, and I could tell straight away as I entered their body language was not good. At least one of them tried to acknowledge me, and I appreciate that.
However as I said earlier "Treat others how you wish to be treated" and so I thought if I were "that" person I would want to see as little of me as possible.
And so I respected their assumed wishes and left the room in search of other teachers.
Was it wrong of them to still hold this grudge almost two years down the line? Who knows. In my honest opinion I wish them both the best. I didn't want to interact with them purely for the fact that they probably didn't want to speak to me.
I agree in the past I have been pig headed and childish and sometimes down right foolish, but I'm putting my disputes aside, because it doesn't concern me anymore.
They know who they are, if anyone who reads this blog knows who they are, let them know especially the male that I am extending an arm of apology.

Pid-Pad

Beth has officially named my room the Pid-Pad! Oh yeah baby! You can't touch it and check your emails or use it to NOT multi-task (wink wink) but you can sleep in it so its all good.
This week has been hectic, for most of you who know me, it was a sudden absence from London. Unexplained and mysterious (not). However I needed a week off, and so here I am back in the Pid-Pad.
I went back to Derby and it's strange. The new Bus Station is finally finished, it felt like that has taken years to build (it has tbh) but so surreal that it is now finished and my old bus stop is obsolete.
I met Dan and Lacey, and some other people.
I went to school and saw some old pals, and teachers. It was great to see Mr Curtiss again, he is still so energetic and full of life, It is wonderful to see.
So yeah It's been a week or so since I blogged, but really been busy and stuff.
Not really had the urge to either.
I did see some people (due to Dan's unfortunate social etiquette) who I wasn't really expecting to see and not really looking forward to seeing.
One of them I'm ok with, but the other looked like he was about to blow up, even though really, I never did anything wrong to either of them.
Anyway, enough Bloggage for today, and time to go sleep.
Oh yeah and HAI to Connor :) he gave me a lovely hug! :D

A Fondness...

Hmmm... Just come back from Covent Garden from a gig at Balushis. Was alright. I played well but the Crowd in there are just blind to it all.
Got offered another Gig on Monday night, and also going to send some stuff to the Camden Underworld to get some gigs with the band.
Was walking down from the tube tonight and looking around me thinking I have been living here for well over seven months and come to realise that even though the area I live is kinda a shit hole, I am gonna miss it so bad this summer. I mean there is no doubt that I will return constantly to London it is where the action is, I have friends down here, I have my whole life down here now.
Where as other people at college still love popping home, I feel that in a way I may have moved on a bit.
There are still loads of people back home who I love hanging out with n stuff. But I think this is where I need to be.
I have grown fond of London in the way that you grow fond of a new puppy or new girlfriend.
I love it.
I have a week off next week, which I am using as a rest and also to meet up with people. Who wants to meet up?!

Had a fantastic birthday yesterday! Started off with a co-write between Marguerite and I, which is a Baroque Waltz.
Then had three lessons, Vocals, Piano and Guitar.
Then we all went for a meal (pizza) it was wicked.
Then I came home had a snooze, as the evening before Mark and I had gone out for a BBQ, and stayed out late.
Then at about 10:30pm I met Andy and Alanna at Powers. Had a great night, had a few shots and beers, which they bought me :) Thank you very much. Then went to Toms with everyone and had Burgers and Kebabs, and then Andy walked me to the bus stop cos I didn't know where it was, and then got the Bus to Wilesden Bus garage and walked the next half hour home.
Thanks to everyone who left me messages and texts and calls and cards and presents, Thank you very much. I will be ringing round people giving thank you's today or tomorrow.
But yeah :) Has been wicked. I am really happy. Couldn't be happier.
On Sunday my rents came down and we had a meal at the North London Tavern.
It was amazing food! Really good! We enjoyed ourselves immensely :)
Was nice to see my parents again.

Well... I met my friend from YMT the other day in London, She was down from Scotland and we met up for a few drinks n stuff with her mates.
One of which was dressed up to look like Dita Von Tease/ Katy Perry. She was also a massive fan of the boosh (Win) However she made us go to some pub where the Boosh Supposedly hang out (The bar man said that he has never met them and he owns the place) Anyway...
Yeah I have been writing away like a little beaver or sumink.

I got shit scared by The Fourth Kind and rang Beth at 3 am!
And now my house mates keep saying "Just call Beth!" Everytime somone says something about being freaked out n stuff.
Quite funny. Wonder how long it will last.

Politics... Seriously!

Just had a look at what my old political view point was put as before and it was Monster Raving Loony party.
Those of you who don't know the MRLP was a political party set up as a joke, and they had all these funny laws they would put in. Like in GCSE exams for example they said there will be a special catchphrase totally unrelated to the subject which was kept secret from the students, if any student by some miracle managed to write that phrase on their paper they got An A star for every exam.
I thought that was brilliant! Other ones included are their hilarious policy on vaccinations!

Needles
Due to the increasing number of children afraid of needles, I propose the destruction of the tedious, scary and often painful process of school vaccinations.
Instead, I propose that highly trained nurses should be given free reign on the playground with specially modified tranquillizer rifles which apply vaccinations as well as a tranquillizer. This would have two main benefits: It would be less scary for the children as they will not know what hit them, also it will be more fun for the nurses

It is proposed that all politicians be made to swear a "hippocratic oath", preventing them by law from being Hypocrites. All politicians should be made to stand by their policies, or or at least admit that they were wrong.

SO pokemon Black and White has been revealed and yeah it is in 3D and the battles have a different look too. Wonder what else they'll change in terms of gameplay, I think we will know on monday.

Does it matter if you're black or white?

Felt like ass yesterday, But feeling alot better now.
Watching my youtube subscriptions this morning to find out that there is a new pokemon game in development, scheduled to be out 2010 for Japan and 2011 probably for the rest of the world. As you all know I am a bit of a pokemon fan, It's really the one thing of my childhood that has kept with me. And I shamelessly admit I still love it and will continue to love it until I get bored of it. I hope the new ones have loads more add ons and stuff, I don't just want a rehashed engine pokemon game. I want to see it fully 3D, Because lets face it the DS can do fully 3D. and lots of other stuff which is new. Not just new pokemon.
It is set to be "innovative" so hopefully this will happen.
And yes the names of these games have been revealed as Pokemon Black and White.
Now am I the only one that sees the problem here? You're going to have two characters one called Black and one called White both rivals... Problem? Meh probably not. So... Spent two days with Beth which has been wicked ;D, had two days of gatherings and has been great. Met Arielle today we had a massive talk for two and half hours in a Coffee Shop.

Ahhh it seems everything is back to the way it was before. I am back in London, Making cups of tea which I forget to make and having Chris comment on everything that I post on the internet, including this Blog, the Dailybooth/YouTube gathering FB page and he'll probably comment on this. Ahhh well who would have it any other way.
Got a freaking hilarious letter in my home town today about the Tory party.
Our local Tory official had sent us a letter. She looked like Susan Boyle had a baby with Shrek. Anyway not only that but on the letter head she had placed/Photoshopped herself into the picture NEXT TO CAMERON!
You know the picture?! The airbrushed one that had the media up in arms! It was freaking hilarious! As if they were like best mates! Ahh dear Politics... I think england needs a massive change. I think the whole Government should be scrapped and then we start from the ground upwards. I don't feel that any of the parties are offering anything significant. I understand it is a popularity thing, however they need to focus on what the people WANT and not what they want to enforce once in power.
I put my hands up here and say I am a politics novice, however surely if Politics is about running a country then it shouldn't be a topic that people are alienated from. It needs to be more accessible in my eyes, I think especially with the scandals this year the Government is a very opaque body where we cannot really see what they do behind closed doors, I feel that is unjust and not proper.All I ever see on telly is that Git wizard Cameron trying to slag off some other party leader, it's like a fucking play ground, yeah thats great Cameron that you think Brown is a dick however get on with discussing matters of importance, like Climate change, World hunger, and our HUGE deficit!
Sorry Thats it, its over. I just hate Politics, it's corrupt.

I am not really that bothered that I didn't finish Blog everyday in March, because it wasn't my fault. I have been cut off from the internet for a week, so I couldn't do anything about it. I had no signal so I couldn't even use 3G!
Ahhh well I wrote half a musical so thats wicked! I am really happy.
Got the YouTube gathering on tuesday which should be wicked! Cannot wait!
I am pretty much just resting this next week. As you can probably guess that I am shattered as I Haven't stopped working since half term! Haha

Also I got asked to support Bowling For Soup on an acoustic tour, but as I didn't have internet for a week they gave it to someone else. That kinda sucks. But the shows were in Birmingham, Brighton, Bristol, Sheffield, and Manchester. I could have gone and done them but I wouldn't get expenses for all the trains I would have to book (which would be super expensive as the tour starts on Tuesday. So good and bad there...
What was wicked was that Jaret said he loves my music! Thats so freaking awesome! One of my heros LIKES MY SONGS! WOOO!

Got Pokemon Heart gold last night cos I'm a complete and utter Nerd and today when in town decided to use the pokewalker that comes with it. I walked 10,568 steps today! Thats wicked! Derby felt strange today... really empty.
It feels like a place I'd visited in a dream once long ago, now barren of the relationships and friendships it holds...
it was strange... Didn't like it.
I think more and more Derby is becoming less homely to me...
Its kinda sad,

Shardlow is still home to me, totally and utterly, but only my house.
No where else.
I have less attachment to Derby by the day. it all feels like a bad dream I left behind.
Not that a lot of bad things happened there, just doesn't feel like where I want to be... it just doesn't feel real anymore.

So today I joined a new Collaboration Channel on Youtube called "Collaborate Elaborate" There are seven of us from around the world, who each have a specific day in which we can do a video on what we want. I am quite excited for it to get started.

Ok so It's almost 1am, I have decided to actually blog about something for once instead of just about my day.
Dreams are really weird. I have had some strange ones, recently I have started eating cheese before bed (not just a little bit, I ate half a packet tonight) to try and induce dreams. I love dreaming, haha I suppose this is what a drug user feels like when they use LSD to make them hallucinate.
I have dreamt about some weird things, Anyone had any strange dreams?
Sometime I have had experiences which have felt like dreams, normally when I have lots of De Ja Vu.

The other day my mate shrimpdude asked people if they would like to guest blog for him, and I decided not to offer my services as I don't think I am particularly popular anymore due to my last blog which I did... You do not want to read it.
I realise how much of a mistake that was, even if at the time I felt they were my true emotions, however I was young, naive and misguided.
Anyway enough of that. Tonight I NEED to finish my business plan! I have had such a lax day, its quite bad, exams next week as well! I'm sure I'll be ok. I just need to motivate myself.
Jon and Chris think they have pulled a "hilarious" prank by changing the whole of Chris' page into Jon's page on Facebook, not really sure why, but chris was pissing himself earlier, I don't think I've ever heard him laugh so much. I don't really see the funny side, but maybe thats just me.
Shrimpdude also talked to be the other day about Re-building Bridges, about making up with the people you have fallen out with, stopped talking to etc.
I'm not really sure it's relevant any more, I mean the people that I would make up with, don't want to make up (last time I checked) and some people I pissed off...well... I really still don't like them.
Anyone got an opinion? Give suggestions? If you want me to build the bridge back to you then tell me.

Ahhh Good day today, everyone seems to be a lot calmer and a lot friendlier now, I think it's because the whole mentor thing is over, there is no competition for who gets who anymore. I dunno, maybe it's just end of term and people are winding down.
I know I can't wait to go to Cumbria to do this Musical Theatre songwriting course at an All girls school.
Man that sounds erotic, Unfortunately said girls will be absent as it is holidays.
However I am pretty certain there will be more girl songwriters than male songwriters.
How? Well it's musical theatre! Thats how I know! And as a general rule Girls play piano more than boys.
I may be wrong, I will let you know. I will probs be blogging via internet or iphone. Unsure but i have to blog for that weeks cos it's still March! :O
Ahhh I am sure we will have internet, it's a boarding school after all, and Cumbria isn't THAT technologically behind is it?

Gah been a bit stressed lately, I am so critical of my self and self deprecating. It's really bad, I need to stop putting myself down its not healthy.
Just had a conversation with Natt about it all.
I mean I am constantly writing good songs which is great, and I think I fail to see that each week I come in with three new songs all of them catchy (chorus has to be catchy otherwise I bin it). All of them decent. But I am putting too much pressure on myself to do things, I mean three songs a week is a lot and I am sure it's improved my creative capacity to be able to write three songs a week which is great.

Anyway enough of that drivel, I am going to make some spaghetti Bolognese tonight which should be wicked!
Ahhh food.
Still doing my business plan but am almost done. Will hand it in tomorrow and see what they think, then make any changes and then hand it in on friday.

Dragons Play Pen

So yeah, been doing my business assignment today and realised it is harder than it looks, I have so much to think about, after a quick call to my Dad I realised (stupidly) of course £1000 is not enough money to do anything with! I think I was consciously trying to keep costs down forgetting that I would have investors invest in the project to make it happen, I wouldn't just be on my own. I have done a considerable amount of it, and I am happy with it so far, but I am worried about a few people who said they hadn't started yet.
One person in our class I wont reveal their name but they asked me if they would fail the course if they didn't hand in their business assignment and I said yes you will fail, and they were like... "WHAT! SHIT really?!!" And was like well... Yeah its a big part of the course.
So that person has less than a week to write it and hand it in. I feel for them I really do!

Anyway enough about work.
I have written quite a few songs over the past six months and it is quite exciting as some of them are wicked. This week I have to write my single which should be good, I already have the idea in my mind.
If anyone has any suggestions as to what to write a song about, then please comment bellow :D

My day has consisted of sitting around in my pants watching youtube videos, making cups of tea, eating 8 sausages and four weetabix. Going down the shop to get some Fairy and then washing my plates up.

They were at a Wedding today, Our family friend Nicola's to be exact. Congratulations Nic! So yeah :) its been a nice day.
Oh yeah and I watched a film which is hilarious and I recommend it to anyone! It's called "A Complete History of my Sexual Failures."
It is an independent documentary which won like four awards, this guy basically keeps getting dumped and decides to go interview his ex girlfriends to see why they dumped him. Its brilliant, real, awkward, embarrassing.
It's kind of like The Inbetweeners meets a Simon Pegg film meets the Office. Apart from the fact that it is all real! Go watch it! You can get it on Amazon for four quid to buy! :D

Was good, I feel really tired just relaxing. Sometimes I feel I'm relaxing to much but then I have to remember that I have long days at Uni. I need to rest every now and then.

Had a freaking weird dream... You know back in like... October or November time... It was around the time me and a friend fell out... Well back then I had a dream about Hollie, I talked to a few people and they said it was because I felt I was losing someone very close to me and so my mind was reaching back to the last time when that happened and thats why I had the dream.
Well Last night I had a dream about Hollie.
Her and her family came around and we started talking, I don't remember the rest of the dream, but it was weird cos we were talking like friends and it felt nice.

Right so it seems Arielle is coming back Which is fantastic :D I'm really excited.
One problem. What's happening with the whole band situation?
Really not sure.
You know what would be great? if for example I just sang and the others played the music to the songs, that would be wicked!
It's quite a good idea, it would mean that we could have a more dynamic performance on stage. That was a big factor as to some of the comments made at our gig.
I want to know that everyone is taking part. As well Greg and Arielle can sing and so we could have three part harmonies! Sweet!
Charlie can sing too but it depends what happens I suppose.
I can't wait to see her again :D wicked right I should organise a band practise and then see what happens! This could be sweet!
Thinking back over the past couple of days I realise that it may have seemed like treachery to some, I haven't gone behind anyones back though, I did what I needed to. I thought she was gone! So I decided to go solo for a week, and then Greg and Adam said they wanted to play my songs, I was like yeah sure, I was up for anything.
But if we all come together as a group then it means we can make the best of everything, make the most of everyones skills! And also learn from each other. :)

So earlier up there when I said I wasn't sure what was going to happen to the band I have kind of just blogged my way out of it.

Just filled out all the paper work for YMT Songwriting course. Should be sweet! I am so Excited! Oh my Gosh!
YAY!!
Unfortunately it means my Gig in April will have to be cancelled and I can't go to Australia to see Natt :(
But I will be working with some great writers which is going to be epic.

Was hilarious last night, we played Ring of fire! Oh my I had fun, even though I don't normally like getting drunk, it was so funny!
Some of the greatest rules included
-Every time Chris drinks Mark has to drink twice!
-Every time Someone says Fuck or a song title of mine I have to drink.
-If I drink Chris must drink twice. (and therefore mark has to drink 4!)
-if anyone says something which is a song lyric, someone else can continue the song lyric, this goes back and forth like a tennis match until someone cant remember the lyrics and they have to drink.
-You have to speak with someone else's accent for the rest of the game.

So yeah pretty cool.
I lost the first game and had to drink the Shit-mix Which was some of chris beer, and my beer and saliva.
When I entered the lounge this morning Mark asked me If I'd lost anything else last night, which was freaking hilarious I can tell you...

So yeah, I just got a letter! :D
A few of you may remember , last summer I auditioned to be in a musical, Loserville the Musical With Youth Music Theatre, which is an offshoot of the National Youth Theatre.
I didn't get in because I wasn't what they were looking for.
Thats fair enough.
I just received a letter from the same people.
A week ago I sent off my CV and Personal statement to them along with a song (One in a Million) to apply for this Musical Theatre songwriting course which will start the week after Term two finishes at ICMP.
Well I got a letter and this is what it says:

Congratulations! I am delighted to offer you a place on our second Young Writers and Composers course.

SWEET! So yeah basically the National Youth Theatre is the hardest theatre for young actors to get into, alot of my friends, like me tried and failed.
But to see that they want my songwriting ability is great! :D Can't wait! Weee! :D

So I'm not sure how it happened but I have a new band, kinda. I have a new guitar and bass player. Got a rehearsal at mine tomorrow. Should be funky. The guitarist is called Greg and the bassist is Adam. Should be cool. They seem dead up for it and passionate so hopefullyi will be able to put on a show. Anyway bethy cara is coming OVer tomorrow. Wicked! Playing ring of fire in he evening. Man I have become good at typeing on my iPhone sideways. Wicked, wrote this in like 3 mins.
Had a great night at open mic. Has been wicked. X just...just wicked haha. Oh yeah and remixing is going great too, haha can't wait to get it done. Give me some
ideas for blogs/videos and I will see what can be done. Do you want weekly videos or what?

Just got back from the Gig have an essay due in tomorrow which I have to do.
Stupid essays for tech when we don't need them! ahh well, the title is "What are remixes and why do we need/use them?"
Hahaha I feel so Cambridge!! (Irony....)
Ahh so yeah, gig tonight.... bit of a shambles... Ahhh well people liked me, the people that were there!
Ahhhh well, the er "Promoter" and I say that very lightly was "Annoyed that no one had brought many people, when one band was from Bournemouth, one had been roped in at the last moment, I have not much fans near the venue in London and he didn't promote the gig.
Promoting- Marketing the Gig so people come and pay and see bands and buy drinks.

Promoting is not- Ask bands to bring 20 people each to the middle of nowhere.

End of rant.

I am off to write this essay.

BLOG EVERYDAY IN MARCH!
Had a good day at college today. Was fun, Writing my song for co-writing tomorrow.
Should be sweet, I have a show on Thursday. in Camden at Fiddlers Elbow, If you live in London Please come down! :D

But yeah Went to Andy's tonight to give Joes guitar back, ended up staying for chips and popcorn and a film.
We watched 2012. SPOILERS
Now I wanted to see this film when it was out and now I have seen it properly I'm a little disappointed.
It's kind of an anticlimax, the whole film is a massive chase sequence, just in different settings and vehicles.
It doesn't explain to you why the earth is being destroyed (only scientifically) and the film kind of cheats the ending by having lots of people saved on "Arcs" that were being built secretly somewhere so they were ready. You think, oh well thats not the end of the world. No one really learns a lesson, it kinda sucks. I think they should have all died, and then they show what happens in like 10 million years time. An emergence of new life?That would have been so much more interesting. I mean there was nothing biblical in it, for saying that if the end of the world really was meant to be judgement day, these people escape death and so therefore escape judgement?! I know its only a film but it leaves so many things unanswered, and also somehow it seems they think they can live off like two cows! I swear most of the arcs were made up of the command room and corridors.... Ahhh well.

Apparently people aren't happy that I don't blog as much, and for that I am sorry. Sometimes if nothing happens much in a day or nothing significant happens, then I don't write about it. But anyway, if you want me to do a blog everyday in March then I will. Ok Its decided, this march is BLOG EVERYDAY IN MARCH! :D

Today I had Live and Unsigned Regionals, the Long and the short of it is, I wasn't what they were looking for, and so even though they said I was very professional I didn't get through.
Which is fine, because in all honesty, no one has ever gotten famous from doing those Unsigned competitions, its weird though, theres like a whole sub culture of people who do these Unsigned Esque competitions and they do them every year and argue with others about where they placed, who was shit and it all just gets a bit bitchy, camp and cat fighty.

So where to start. Written two songs today. Finished Dans song which should be up on youtube on saturday!
My other song I wrote was about Planet Earth. So the song I have written is about my best friend Natt Webb.
Its called "Because of the Distance".
That will probably be on youtube too! if you guys want it on youtube.
But yeah so other than that I have had the mentor showcase, not only did I perform there in front of 6 industry professionals, I also played first on the bill of 30 students!
Haha It was sweet. People said I kicked it off really well! :D Got some great feedback from the mentors and have some very exciting prospects. I don't want to say too much, but it should be amazing! :D Might find out who has chosen us tomorrow! :D
Ahhh I feel so happy right now, everything is good! :D OOOOH also going to an EXCLUSIVE Songwriting Masterclass at the O2 Arena tomorrow night! :D I mean seriously exclusive when I say exclusive, Only me and Anne Christine are going from our college we got the last two tickets! So I am SOOOO EXCITED! :D AHHHHH! Wicked!
Can't wait. Got live and Unsigned this weekend, and then I have a gig next week and Open Mic! hahaha Man I am so freaking busy! Ahhh Thanks for everyones support!

I haven't blogged in a week, I really need to get back into this because I have been so Lax.
So whats been happening in my life.
Well last week I had a gig which I didn't get to because Google Maps took me the wrong way.
Erm... I have been songwriting lots and have done almost 2 of the 3 songs needed for this week.
One called "Devils in your ear" Which is pretty funky. Its a motown song! Which I wrote with the wonderful George Frakes and Hannah Platt.
So yeah... what else to say...

I am extremely sorry.
I am sorry for several things.
First and for most I am sorry for not coming out.
I realise now that if I had made the effort and come out sooner, this would have been a lot easier for me.
However it is not, and now I feel the situation has worsened, as you have lost respect for me because I refuse to come out.
It's not that I do not wish to come out, but the fact that I cannot come out... tonight.
If I do I am sure that I would wake up in the morning with a terrible feeling in the pit of my stomach after consuming some vile fluids of unknown origin.

I realise that this is inconsiderate, as you all really do want to help me build the confidence in order for me to come out, and I thank you for your efforts.
Next time you are down in London I promise I will be ready by then, ready enough to finally come out.

Thank you for your kind words, it has really been a pleasure meeting you, I have enjoyed every moment, and I am sure you will be sorely missed when you leave tomorrow morning. I hope you read this before you go :D

Hello peeps

Today i went on a 7 hour coach journey to a small village called london and it was really boring. Then i got off the bus and met my good friend marky and we went to markys house. When we got to markys house i had a shower. And then me and marky made some food And i have met markys pal Charlie and no one could guess how many teaspoons of malibu i had in my glass (because i had a measuring glass cup) The answer was 39..what fools! And tonight i will sleep in bed with marky and another girl.I gave marky and charlies flatmates wifes nephew some sweets for his stash..aww how lovely! The end. xxxxxxxxx

aha. actually katie's bus journey was mega dead good because she was sitting next to me. she even just said that it was good, just then.
anyway, we ended up in london, which isn't bad but it couldn't be better because i just got what the song was that katie sang is. buuuut her rabbit is having babies, which is pretty cool. and also, marky's friend charlie is nice and good and better than cat who just sits in her room and never comes out to say hi and she steals ketchup and that cheese grater. so that's cool.
but i'm using a laptop which is mega techno cool and so i'm struggling to type with it because all the letters go on twice because i punch them too hard and stuff so i had best be off. byebyebyebyebyebyebyebyebyebyebye.x
